Segment your contact list to email specific recipients

This article will show you the different options to segment your recipient list with Mergo. This feature is useful to target the right audience and make sure only the right people get your email.

Select specific rows manually

If you want to send emails to a specific group of recipients in your spreadsheet, you can simply manually select the rows you're interested in. Mergo will detect the selected rows and only process those for sending.

⚠️ Make sure you select the rows by clicking the row numbers on the left of your spreadsheet, otherwise it won't work.

Note: Remember to select the rows before opening Mergo, or refresh the Mergo interface after making your selection so it correctly picks up the changes.

Check if rows are correct then click “Send X emails”

Use Google Sheets' filters

If you want to target a group of people in a long list of recipients, you can add a Google Sheets filter to your spreadsheet. Mergo will only send emails to the filtered recipient list.

Hide rows to skip

If you want to skip only a few recipients, you can hide those rows, and Mergo will send emails only to visible rows.

Add "0" under the Merge status column

You can also add a "0" in the Merge status column for all the rows you want to skip.

In our example below, rows 3 and 4 will be skipped by Mergo.
